Your trade licence, done right the first time
Dan Pleaner handles your entire application — paperwork, referee statements, follow-up — so you get approved and get back on the tools.
Our two hero services
The licences that matter most
Company licences and mutual recognition are where most tradies leave money on the table. Dan specialises in both.
Company contractor licence
Your Pty Ltd company must hold its own licence — separate from your personal licence. Thousands of building companies are unknowingly non-compliant. Fines in NSW can reach $110,000.
Mutual recognition
Already licensed in one state? You may be able to work in other states without sitting new exams. Dan maps your licence across states and handles all the paperwork.
Individual builder licence
Contract directly with clients, run your own sites, take on jobs in your own name. Dan gets your NSW Fair Trading or QBCC application right the first time.
Trade contractor licence
Electrical, plumbing, carpentry and more. Dan helps trade contractors get the right licence for their trade and their state — without the guesswork.
Covered Australia-wide
Every state and territory
Each state has its own regulator, its own forms, its own quirks. Dan knows them all.
Why Dan
No call centres. No junior staff. Just Dan.
When you work with Trade Licence Solutions, you deal directly with Dan Pleaner from your first call to your licence approval. Over 5 years, he's helped 500+ tradies and builders get their licences approved — with a 98% first-time success rate.
Most applications that fail or get delayed aren't about qualifications. They fail because of incomplete documentation, referees who weren't properly licensed, or forms filled out incorrectly. Dan's job is to make sure none of that happens to you.

Common questions
FAQs
How much does it cost?
Company licences and mutual recognition start from $550. Individual builder licence applications start from $2,000. Pricing depends on the state and the complexity of your application. See full pricing →
How long does it take to get approved?
Timeframes vary by state and licence type. Dan will give you a realistic timeline when you have your free call. His 98% first-time approval rate means your application doesn't get stuck in a back-and-forth with the regulator.
Do I need a company licence if I already have a personal licence?
Yes — in NSW, your company or partnership must hold its own contractor licence before it can contract, sub-contract or advertise to do residential building work over $5,000. Your personal licence does not cover the company's activities. This is one of the most common and costly compliance gaps Dan sees.
Can I apply for a licence myself?
Absolutely. Some people get through the process without help. Dan's here for those who want it done right the first time, without delays. Even a free 15-minute call can save you weeks — most people don't know what they don't know until they're already in trouble with their application.
Do you guarantee approval?
Dan can't promise a guarantee — no one legitimately can, because the final decision rests with the state regulator. What he can promise is that your application will be as strong as it possibly can be. His 98% first-time approval rate speaks to that. If an application isn't successful, he'll tell you exactly why and what to do next.
